WATCHER FORCE -
FACTION LIST

WATCHER FACTIONS

The Watcher Force is divided into 6 different factions. Each faction uses a different mix of chemical compounds to create the 'heart' that holds their energy in form. These compound mixes cause the energy to glow with a variety of neon hues.

AMATSU-KAMI SYMBOL.png

AMATSU-KAMI

The 'heart' of the Amatsu-Kami resembles the Shinto symbol from the Tao and Buddhist religions. Their weapons and armour also have many elements and additions that share design aspects with many ancient oriental cultures. For these reasons they were named the Amatsu-Kami, after a group of Japanese Deities believed to reside in the heavenly realm of Takamagahara.

Their 'heart' is constructed with a high concentration of the chemical Luminol which causes the contained energy to glow with a bright neon blue colour.

AKUA SYMBOL.png

AKUA

Due to their 'heart' looking very similar to the Polynesian symbol for person 'Enata', they were named the Akua after the Hawaiian/Polynesian Deities. Their Athenium armour adheres to their energy in a far smoother way, with curved less pointed ends reminiscent of ocean waves more that jagged rocks.

Akua 'hearts' are created using a predominantly Phosphorus based housing, leading to a very pronounced neon green glowing energy.

TNGRI SYMBOL.png

TNGRI

The shape of a Tngris' 'heart' is very close to the national symbol of Mongolia. The Soyombo symbol means "self-created" and is derived from the Sanskrit "Svayambhu". The Tngri constitute the highest class of Deities in Mongolian Shamanism.

The external shell of the Tngri 'hearts' are made mostly from Cryolite which causes their energy to glow with a bright neon yellow colour.

JUMALAT SYMBOL.png

JUMALAT

The Jumalat were so named as it is the Finnish word for Gods. This is due to their 'hearts' closely resembling the shape of the Finnish national symbol 'Sisu'.

A 'heart' high in Plutonium causes the Jumalats' energy to glow eerily with a dark red bloodlike colour.

DEVAS SYMBOL.png

DEVAS

Each Devas 'heart' is shaped like an artistic representation of the 'Endless Knot', one of the Eight Auspicious Symbols important to the Hindu and Jain Dharma religions. Due to this they were named the Devas after one of the Hindu words for Deity.

The core of the Devas' 'hearts' are made predominantly of the chemical Curium which affords their energy a very powerful bright purple glow.

ABENAK SYMBOL.png

ABENAK

Unlike other Watcher Factions the Abenak were not named after a group of Deities, but were instead named after the indigenous Abenaki people of Eastern Canada and North America. This was in part due to their 'hearts' resemblance to the Wabenaki Confederacy Sign, which is a symbol of unity between "The people of the First Light", consisting of the Mi'kmaq, Passamaquoddy, Penobscot, Wolastoqiyik and Western Abenaki nations.

Their 'hearts' composition heavily relies on a Vanadium compound which causes their energy to lose its glow and remain a semi-transparent dark grey/black colour.
